Marie-Christine Raboud-Theurillat was born into a family of musicians in the small town of Monthey (Wallis, Switzerland) ; very early in life she was introduced to the piano and the violin. She continued her piano studies with Jean Perrin in Lausanne and Bernard Heinger in Bern was her organ professor.
At the end of her studies she achieves two professional teaching diplomas for piano and organ. She then studies composition with Herni-Louis Matter, orchestration and conduction with Jan Dobrzelewski and Ernst Schelle.
Her catalogue consists of about 50 pieces (chamber music), chorals and church music.
Several pieces were played for the first time in Switzerland and abroad, in particular in 2004 three concerts of her oratorio Genese op 35 by the choral Novantiqua (40 singers) and the CSAMTU orchestra (20 musicians) conducted by Bernard Heritier. Still in 2004 the creation d'Evocation op 37 for clarinet, bassoon (or basset) horn and string quartet ordered by the ASM for the occasion of their music festival.
Several concerts were recorded by the radio (Espace 2 + DRS2).
She adds to her composer activities by being the organist of the parish of Monthey and by teaching piano and organ at the cantonal academy in Sion.
