Biography note on THIS PAGE:

Constantine Kollros was born on February 17, 1838 in Sasbach am Rhein, Grand Duchy of Baden.1 He was the son of Joseph Kollros and Magdalena Ringwald. He married Maria Eichhorn, daughter of Georg Eichhorn and Catherine __, after 1863 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. He died on November 28, 1916 in Louisville at age 78.2
Constantine Kollros emigrated with Joseph Kollros and Magdalena Ringwald in 1844 from Grand Duchy of Baden.
He appeared on the census of 1850 in the household of Joseph Kollros and Magdalena Ringwald in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana; Madison, Indiana is located ~60 miles north-east of Louisville, Kentucky and is situated on the Ohio River, upriver from Louisville.
He appeared on the census of 1860 in the household of Joseph Kollros and Magdalena Ringwald in Louisville.
He was a popular orchestra and choir leader in the Ohio river valley area in the later part of the 19th and earlier 20th centuries. He also taught music. (See Clippings from the Kentucky Irish American.
He and Maria Eichhorn appeared on the census of 1870 in Louisville - listed in the same household: Rosa Kollros, Katherine B Kollros and Magdalena Ringwald.
He and Maria Eichhorn appeared on the census of 1880 in Louisville - listed in the same household: Erhard Joseph Kollros, Rosa Kollros, Katherine B Kollros, Leo C. Kollros, George C. Kollros, John Francis Kollros, Mary Magdelene Kollros, Elizabeth Josephine Kollros and Magdalena Ringwald.
He appeared on the census of 1910 in the household of Joseph Seiler and Katherine B Kollros in Louisville. He resided with Joseph Seiler and Katherine B Kollros in 1910 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky.
