    | My interest in music began at an early age, I
would write a stave of music in a music book without my Dad knowing. I soon
channeled my effort to Church Music, at first singing in a Church Choir,
then I was lucky enough to be accepted on a Scholarship to Exeter Cathedral
as a Chorister in 1979. I made quite an impact with a powerful voice
(described by the then Organist and Master - Lucian Nethsingha as "oversinging")
However in Mr Nethsingha's last report said "He has had an incredible
influence and will be sadly missed." Herbert Howells is one of my great
influences although my singing career has taken in many composers of many
nationalities. I have studied music with some notable composers and
teachers, John Rutter, and Scott Stroman to name but a few. From 1995-9, I
continued my Cathedral Choir career as a Tenor Lay Vicar, and lately have
acquired a Certificate in Music Studies from Goldsmiths College (University
of London). I returned to the West Country in 2003 and live happily with my
wife and two kids. Hopefully the music 'bug' will start again soon once the
kids have grown up a little! I look forward to reading any reviews of my
    music!    |
